4D Gel Plates
4D gel plates combine raised acrylic characters with a glossy gel dome for a deep, three-dimensional look that stands out on any car. We make them while you wait at our Langwith unit, and can produce road-legal plates when you bring your V5C logbook and photo ID.

4D acrylic plates have laser-cut raised characters in solid acrylic for a crisp, sharp-edged finish. They are one of the most popular styles for modern cars. We make them while you wait and can supply road-legal versions with the required documents, or show plates for off-road use.

Crystal gel plates add a sparkle to 4D characters with a crystal-effect finish under the gel, giving a premium look that catches the light. Available in 4D crystal gel and 4D crystal acrylic, they are made while you wait at our unit on Main Road, Langwith.

Show plates are for car shows, displays and private land, where you want styles, fonts or badges that are not permitted on the road. We make them in any of our plate styles and designs. Show plates are not road legal, so they must not be displayed on a vehicle on public roads.

Common questions
Are 4D plates road legal?
Raised-character plates can be road legal when they are made to the current British Standard with the correct font, spacing and supplier markings. We will tell you which styles are legal for road use and which are show plates only.
What do I need to bring?
For road-legal plates the law requires proof of your right to the registration, such as your V5C logbook, and photo ID.
How long does it take?
Most plates are made while you wait.
Can you make plates for any vehicle?
We can make any type of reg plate you need for cars, vans and other vehicles. Tell us the vehicle and we will advise on the right style.
Are show plates legal on the road?
No. Show plates are for shows and off-road use only. Road plates must meet the current legal standard, and we only make them once we have seen your documents.
